Generac Power Systems – one of the world's largest independent manufacturers of complete engine-driven generator systems for industrial, residential, mobile, recreational vehicle and communications applications - is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for our Wuijang, P.R.C. facility.
THE POSITION:
The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of machined, cast and injected molded parts used in generators and IC engines. These parts are an integral part of the wide range of portable, home standby & industrial generators and other products of the Generac product range.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

● Entail the use of Pro-E Creo and solidworks for designs, detail drawings, exploded views, ECO’s and BOM’s;

● Materials selection, cost estimates, rapid prototype parts for evaluation, design reviews, verification processes and qualification testing to ensure compliance with the current standards prescribed by UL, NFPA and other agencies;

● Support any existing products and support any possible new development programs;

Job Requirements / Specifications任职要求:
● Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline;
本科学历，年龄25-35岁，机械设计或相关专业；
● 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in Multi-national corporate, background in generator or IC engine design is plus; 3-5年外资企业相关工作经验，有发电机或发动机背景优先考虑；
● Good communication & coordination skills, open mind and team work spirit;
良好的沟通协调能力，开放型思维和团队合作精神；
● Responsibility, Efficiency, Flexibility and be able to work in high-pressure circumstance;
有责任心、效率性、灵活性，能够在高压情况下工作；
● Good English skills, speaking ability is a plus;
良好的英语能力，口语优秀者优先考虑；
● Know well MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, etc.);
能熟练操作使用MS Office常用办公软件；
● Pro-E Creo, Solidworks2014/2015 experience is a Must;
有Pro-E Creo, Solidworks经验;
● Experience within the automotive supply base is plus.

岗位职责：

TTHE POSITION:
The Firmware Engineer will be involved in all aspects of new product designs. This will include not just an understanding of firmware, but also of the physics behind the designs themselves. The firmware engineer will be specifically involved in the design and development of new control algorithm’s, and system testing both in lab and on real products. This is an opportunity to use or extend your firmware knowledge into tangible systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Applies engineering knowledge and experience to improve products, services and processes;
● Helps create software specifications.
● Aides in costing and project planning.
● Conducting FMEA/DFMEA and design reviews
● Creates project documentation, test procedures, manuals etc.
● Designs new control algorithms and performs Applications Engineering;
● Designs new software modules and develops supporting documentation;
● Creates test specifications for new systems;
● Maintains existing software and documentation;
● Participates in formal design reviews;
● Tests new hardware designs via custom software;
● Creates PC based testing tools (in software).

Basic Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in software, electronics, or related discipline;
● 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of 2 years of experience in embedded firmware design using the “C” language.
Additional Qualifications:
● Able to solve moderately complex engineering problems;
● Goos decision-making skills;
● Experience in using Microsoft Excel and Word;
● Excellent oral and written communication skills;
● Good knowledge of hardware;
● Real time firmware experience using microcontrollers and possibly RTOS;
● Knowledge of microprocessor hardware interfacing techniques, such as IIC, SPIbus, EEprom, Flash, RS232/485,
analog interfaces, etc.;
● Knowledge of control systems using PID loops;
● Use and understanding of interrupt structures;
● Experience using debugging tools such as ICE.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Automotive experience;
● Experience with the following - embedded Firmware, Object Oriented languages: C, C++, C#, Java. |

THE POSITION:
The Hardware Engineer is responsible for providing engineering input to the product development projects assigned to him/her including interfacing with the cross functional team consisting of engineering (hardware, software, mechanical), operations (industrial engineering, production, and material procurement), sourcing, quality, service, and marketing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Design and develop board level hardware
● Research and select hardware components
● Familiarity with embedded design using microprocessors/microcontrollers
● Create schematic of the design
● Experience with designing analog/digital circuitry
● Experience designing with switching/linear power supplies
● Supervise PCB layout; specify component placement, analog/digital, high speed, power planes layout guidelines
● Experience with troubleshooting electronics to the component level
● Familiarity with test firmware/software to verify the hardware
● Familiarity with software debug/programming tools
● Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT)
● Experience with simulation tools
● Supports product development plans (schedule, product cost, meeting design inputs)
● Conduct design reviews
● Develop and maintain documentation, such as test procedures, software specifications, manuals, etc.
● Apply engineering knowledge and experience to improve products, services and processes
● Acts as a resource to mentor and teach less experienced engineers
● Use lab equipment including oscilloscopes, data acquisition equipment, and power supplies
● Travel to other Generac facilities as necessary

● 5-10 years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware PCB board design
● Uses basic engineering knowledge to improve products or services
● Able to solve basic engineering problems; good decision-making skills
● Proficient with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel
● Proficient oral and written communication
Additional Skills Preferred:
● Experience in design of industrial/automotive electronic control systems and assemblies
● Experience with Freescale PowerPC and/or Microchip PIC microcontrollers
● Experience with Altium Designer for schematic capture and layout
● Familiarity with simulation software such as P-Spice, Mentor Graphics Hyperlynx, Matlab Simulink
● Experience with designing battery charging circuitry, Switch-Mode Power Supply (SMPS)
● Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing
● RF/wireless controls knowledge
● Conduct FMEA/DFMEA analysis
● Experience with design release process
● Knowledge of PID loops
● Communication protocol/ hardware interface knowledge, such as RS232, RS485, CAN, Ethernet, USB, SPI, I2C, Flash, EEPROM, ADC/DAC, WiFi/Bluetooth
● Design to meet agency compliance such as UL, CSA, NEC, CE, FCC, NFPA, EPA
● Experience with Agile software development practices and tools |
